The next day was Monday & Kay had to go to school. As soon as she got to the bus stop, while walking to wait for Nikki her phone rang. “Hello?”
“Hey how are you?”

“I’m ok, I miss you,” Kay said after hearing Sid’s on the other end.

“I miss you too.”

“So where are you right now?”

“We’re in Boston, where are you?”

“I’m down by City High, waiting for my friend Nikki.”
“Ok.”
“Yo Sid, let’s go,” Colby said in the background.
“Who was that?”
“That was Army, well I gotta go, we’ve got practice.”
“Ok, bye.”
“Bye.”
A few minutes later Nikki came out of school & they went to the bus stop. Ten days past, it was a Thursday & the day Sid was supposed to be coming home. He didn’t call Kay after school like he normally did, so she went home on the bus & her mom picked me up from Nikki`s house `cause she had to baby-sit.
When she got home there was a note on my door. Right after you read this you will get a phone call
‘RING, RING.’ “Hello?”
“Hi.”
“Hey baby where are you?”
“Sorry our plane got delayed so we`re still in Florida. I won’t be able to see you until tomorrow `cause we won’t be getting to Pittsburgh until late tonight.”
“Oh, that sucks.”
“Where in your house are you?”
“In the family room.”
“Why don’t you go into your room so we can have more private conversation?”
“Ok.”
