SiDi [A Sidney Crosby Story] Six; The Surprise

She went into her room & there sitting on the bed was Sid. She hung up the phone, ran over, & gave Sid a huge hug & a kiss on the cheek.
“What are you doing here; you said you were in Florida.”
“It was all part of the surprise”
“I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too.”
“I listened to all of the games.”
“Good.”
“I have something to tell you.” They both said at the same time.
“You go first,” Kay said.
“No you go.”
“Ok, I know this might seem like it`s a little early in our relationship to be saying this but, Sid, I love you.”
“I love you too.”
They sat down on her bed & Sid leaned in to kiss her. They made-out for about half an hour until Kay`s little sister Sharon came into the room.
“Kay, stop kissing it`s time for dinner.”
“Ok, Sharon can Sid stay for dinner?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“I don`t know.”
Then Sid & Kay went up stairs to eat dinner. When they were done eating they went back down to Kay`s room to talk.
“So are you singing at the game tomorrow?”
“I don`t know.”
“Well Edzo said that the people want you to sing at all the home games.”
“Ok, then I guess I`m singing.”
“So I`ll pick you up after school tomorrow.”
“Yea.”
“Ok, I`m gonna go.”
“Ok, see you tomorrow.”
“I love you,” Sid said.
. “Love you too, bye.”
“Bye,” Sid said then kissed her.
The next day Sid picked Kay up from school & took her home so she could get ready for the game, and then they went down to the Mellon. “Hey Edzo is Bugsy here yet?” Kay asked when they got into the locker room.
“No why?”
“I need to talk to him,” She said just as he was walking in the door.
“Who do you need to talk to?” Bugsy asked.
“You, can you come here?”
She walked over to Ryan`s stall. “Everyone team meeting,” Edzo said from the center of the room.
Everyone went over to where Edzo was standing. “Ok everyone we did great on the road trip, but we still need to step it up. Even though we won every game during the road trip, some of the teams we didn`t beat by much. Our forwards need to skate harder, make crisper passes. Our defense needs to get back quicker, on the penalty kill don`t go so deep in the other teams zone. Ok tonight Caron, you`re in goal & Fleury you`re backup. Ok everyone the game starts in an hour & half so get suited up.”
Everyone went to their stalls to get ready. Kay went over to Ryan`s stall to talk to him. “Hey Ryan.”
“Yeah?”
“Have you talked to your cousin lately?”
“Which one?”
“Maura.”
“Yeah I talked to her this morning.”
“Ok, do you believe her about Bri?”
“Do I believe what about Bri?”
“That`s she`s cheating on you.”
“Why would she cheat on me?”
“Because she doesn`t love you, she just in the relationship for money & sex, & once she gets that she`s just gonna leave you heartbroken.”
“But I don`t want to believe it.”
“Well the truth hurts & if you don`t want to end up heartbroken, then you have to confront her & cancel the wedding, otherwise it`s going to be a disaster.”
“Ok, she`s coming to the game tonight, I`ll talk to her after.”
“Good I just didn`t want to see you end up crushed, `cause then that would destroy your game & Edzo might trade you or something & you certainly don`t want that.”
“This is going to really hard `cause I really did love her.”
“Well life doesn`t always go the way you want it to.”
“Yea.”
“Just don`t let it effect your game.”
“I won`t thanks for talking to me about it.”
“You`re welcome.”
Kay walked back over to Sid`s stall. “Hey what were you talkin to Ryan about?”
“Nothing you should worry about. His girlfriend was cheating on him & he didn`t believe me or his cousin, so I was talking to him about it & trying to make him believe it.”
“Oh, I just want you to know that I would never cheat on you.”
“Same with me.” Kay said then kissed him.
People started to get there for the game. At seven thirty-five Kay went out, sang, & went to her seat.
