SiDi [A Sidney Crosby Story] Seven; A Speech, A Breakup & Food.

At the first intermission they were losing 2-1. And once they got to the locker room Edzo said, “Ok, boys we`re doing alright, but we need to do better. Does anybody have anything else to say?”
Kay stood up & went to the middle of the locker room. “Alright boys, I know that you can do better, I`ve seen you do better. Caron, your doing good, just keep making them saves. Defense step it up, get back to our zone faster. Gonch, stop taking so many penalties, actually do what you`re getting paid for. Brooksy, keep up the good checks. Offense, Bugsy I know you’ve got some personal problems you’ve gotta deal with after the game, but leave it out of the game. Block it out of your mind until you need to deal with it. Johnny come on you’re getting paid to score goals & you haven’t scored one in three weeks, I`m seeing a problem here. Sid, Ziggy, & Recchi your line needs to keep up the good work, you`re the best out there tonight. Sid if you`re gonna keep your streak ya need to get a point tonight. Lemieux, just `cause one of your line mates was falling apart out there doesn`t mean that you couldn`t & still don`t need to step it up. Skate harder actually take some shots, come on. Murls, Rico, & Koltsy, your lines doing good, but I know you guys can play better. All three of you have great slap shots, so use them. You all need to stay out of the penalty box. But when we do have a penalty, don`t go so deep, get back quicker. When we`re on the power play take some shots, you guys are being too fancy. You`re stick handling way too much, pass the puck & shoot, your goal doesn`t have to be fancy, just all long as it goes in. Roy, stop messing around so much, if you wanna fight, then fight, just not in the first, & have a good reason, I don`t want to see you drop the gloves for nothin. Mario I know you`re trying to be pretty, but it`s so old, just shoot the damn puck & hope it goes in the damn net. Defense, some of you are being too fancy, your job is simple, I know I played it for four & half years. All you need to do is get the damn puck out of our zone & try to keep it in the other teams. Offense just get the puck to the net & try to make it go in. Now guys you know I`m not a mean person, I`m just trying to get your asses back in gear. Do you guys want it to go back to the way it was at the beginning of the year? So just play well & I won`t yell at you anymore. Alright boys let`s get back out there & win this thing.”
Everyone went back out & Kay`s speech worked, `cause they won the game 6-2. After the game Brooksy went outside & waited for Bri then they came into the locker room.
“Ryan you wanted to talk to me?”
“Yeah, um about the wedding.”
“What about it?”
“There`s not gonna be one.”
“But why?”
“Cause I know that you don`t love me & I found out from my cousin, but I didn`t believe her. But now I do because my friend Kay talked to me today.”
“What did they tell you?” She asked with a nervous look.
“That you`re cheating on me.”
“What? Why would I cheat on you?”
“`Cause you don`t love me, you just want my money & sex. Finding out that my cousin was telling the truth the whole time, just tears me up. I loved you, but you don`t love me, so we`re over & the wedding’s off.”
Bri left the locker room with out saying a word.
“Kay again thank you so much for helping Maura convince me about Bri.”
“You`re welcome, I`m just really sorry that it was true.”
“Yeah me too.”
“I`m sorry I yelled at you during the game.”
“It`s ok, you had to say something, I was slaking so….”
“Kay are you ready to go?” Sid asked.
“Yeah one sec, bye boys.”
“Bye.”
Kay walked over to Sid. “Ok, I`m ready.”
“Do you want to go home or go get something to eat?”
“Well I`m kinda hungry.”
“Ok, where do you wanna go?”
“I don`t know?”
“Does Eat n` Park sound good?”
“Yeah that`s fine.”
They went out to Sid`s car & to Eat n` Park. Once they got there Kay had an iced vanilla latte & an Oreo sundae. Sid got a vanilla milkshake, a burger & fries.
After they had finished eating Sid took her home. “Bye baby thanks for the food,” She said.
“You`re welcome bye,” He said then kissed her. After about five minutes Sid leaned against the wall & they pulled away after awhile. When they did Sid went down to his car & Kay went inside.
